Veterinarians
 | Dr. Heather Steele - Dr. Steele graduated in 2000 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She has been with South Side Animal Hospital since 2003 and completed her student preceptorship with the pratice in the summer of 1999. She has three cats (Max, Sasha, and Simba) and two dogs Benji & Bella. Dr. Steele has a special interest in the treatment of cancer and orthopedic surgery. |
 | Dr. Carol Black - Dr. Black graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. As a student she worked a summer at the vet college, a summer at the Bow Valley Vet Centre in Canmore, AB, and her first year in practice was spent at Spruce Grove Vet Clinic, AB. Shes been with us since 1992 as a Veterinary Assistant and since 2006 as a full time Veterinarian. She has food driven labrador retriever named King, and two cats Ronnie & Hamish. |
 | Dr. Craig Wilkenson - Dr. Wilkenson has been with South Side Animal Hospital since 1995, covering mostly Saturday shifts. He works full time as the Director of Animal Care for the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Home Economics at the University of Alberta. |
 | Dr. Jackie Simmonds - Dr. Simmonds graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983. She has been with South Side Animal Hospital intermittently as a locum veterinarian since 1984. In 2007 she became a regular part time veterinarian with the clinic. Dr. Simmonds is currently taking her course work to become certified in veterinary acupuncture which will be completed in 2008. |
 | Marnie has a full time AHT with South Side Animal Hospital since 1991. She graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 1991. |
 | Melanie graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 1984. She has worked in the Animal Health field starting in High School to 1988, & then in the summer of 2005 she joined the team at South Side Animal Hospital. She shares Office Management duties with Marnie. She has always had a variety of pets from spiders & hamsters to cats & dogs. Currently Melanie, her husband & two boys share their home with Sophie (dog), Katze (cat), Emma (guinea pig) & Freckles (fish). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her pets, reading and travelling. |
 | Marcy has been a full time AHT with South Side Animal Hospital since 2007. She graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 2006. |

has been a full time AHT with Southside Animal Hospital since July
2008. She graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 2007. |

orginally from BC, moved out here to attend the AHT program at NAIT.
She graduated in April 2009 and has since then been a full time AHT at
Southside Animal Hospital. |
 | Rhonda has been a part time AHT with South Side Animal Hospital part-time since 2007. She graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 1992. |
| Melissa has been with South Side Animal Hospital since 2002. She
graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 2001. Melissa currently
works weekend shifts and helps fill in during holidays and other busy
clinic times |
| Connie has been with South Side Animal Hospital since 2006. She graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 2001. Connie currently works weekend shifts and fills in additional days where needed. |

| Kathleen
is the first of many smiling faces you encounter when you walk into
Southside Animal Hospital. She has been a full time VOA here
since July 2008. |
Veterinary Assistants/Kennel Assistants
| Stephanie has been with South Side Animal Hospital since October 2008. Previously she was volunteering full time with McDonald Animal Rescue Society for 6 years. |
 | Danielle is our most recent addition, beginning at South Side Animal Hospital in March of 2009. She is a second year AHT student at NAIT and is working part time during the evenings and weekends throughout the school year. |
